About ME
I’m Louise and I am a Mum of two! I have run businesses for over 10 years and have first hand experience of spinning the many plates which come with running a business and being a Mum; I get it’s hard and see you doing an amazing job!!
I have previously studied Fine Art and have a keen eye for composition, design and love social media posts to be both informative and aesthetically pleasing to the consumer. I’m also a qualified midwife and there are many skills which have transferred perfectly into the running of my own business, from organisation, communication and team working, to my passion for continued learning.
Additionally, I run the Yorkshire Coast Females in Business, a networking group which aims to bring together women at different stages of their business to connect, support and champion each other.
If I’m not working, you’ll find me walking my cockapoo or gardening as my partner tinkers in the garage.

Sarah Bowman
Sarah is admin enthusiast who loves supporting amazing women in business with all those behind-the-scenes tasks that keep things running smoothly. Whether it’s sorting through a busy inbox, scheduling social media posts, or crafting the perfect newsletter, she's in her element when she's making your life a little easier.
When she's not busy ticking off a to-do list, you’ll find her hanging out with her little ones, catching up with friends over a coffee, or treating herself to a cheeky Espresso Martini.
Heather Brown
Heather has a passion for anything creative!
She studied Art & Design at college which then led to a career in Graphic Design. After having two children she yearned for something flexible to fit in with her new family life; so in 2012 ‘by HeatherMay’ was born, a small family Home Fragrance Company based in Ripley, Derbyshire
She considers herself very lucky to work alongside many amazing women in business and she's super excited about putting her design skills to use, supporting Louise and helping many more businesses.
Joana Oliveira
From Portugal and now living in the UK, Jo handles our website and design as well as whatever needs tending to! She's passionate about the tiny details and helping make visions come true.
When she's not at her laptop, Jo loves exploring the Yorkshire coast with her partner, enjoying her love for film and music and making new memories to share with her family back home!
How it all started...
Our founder Louise set up Female Founders V.A. when a social media mentor approached her to work together, as a virtual assistant. News spread, and through word of mouth, she has rather quickly filled her diary with helping women entrepreneurs with the day-to-day running of their businesses, as well as strategy planning and business growth. She now manages social media for multiple companies.
